Visit + Tasting (or lunch) at the Winery
For us, the opportunity to welcome you and tell you about our work is of fundamental importance: wine speaks for itself, but when tasted within the same walls where it is born and takes shape, it is able to express its full potential.
This is why the tasting is the central element of our winery visit: the journey begins right in the tasting room, where my wife Maria and I will introduce our labels and talk about how they are produced.
Ours is not the classic tasting offered in the small wineries of the area: while maintaining the absolute centrality of the wine, we like to play with food pairings to further emphasize the character of each variety. The platters we serve therefore offer a few more appetizers than the usual cold cuts and cheeses.

The visit itinerary: a tour example
Introduction
Let’s start by specifying that you will always find me or my wife to welcome you to the winery, the same people who actively take care of all aspects of production.
First of all, we will seat you in the tasting room, which has been recently renovated and refurbished. Here, after a brief introduction, we will start with a mention of the company history and production philosophy, to give you an idea of our world.
We will then talk about the Roero area in general, and in more detail about the hills that surround us: the soil composition, the microclimates, and the most widely produced varieties. Depending on everyone’s interest and knowledge, we will delve more or less deeply into the various topics, creating the basis for a mindful tasting.
The tasting
Now comes the highlight for many, the moment when theory meets practice. Depending on the type of tasting chosen, we will start serving you the wines, starting with the whites and gradually increasing in complexity and structure.
Each label will be briefly introduced, and then we will taste it together, while playing with food-wine pairings thanks to the paired mixed platters.
At the end of the tasting, we will move to the cellar for a quick tour of the production areas.
The winery tour
Starting from the vinification rooms, we will show you the wine’s journey, with a more or less technical and in-depth explanation. Here you can ask us questions about how we work in the cellar and clear up any doubts!
We will then continue to the aging rooms (or barrel cellar) where the most precious wines of our production rest—an environment of charm and quiet where, if the timing is right, we will let you taste some wine in progress.
To finish, a sweet note
If the type of tasting you have chosen includes it, at this point we will return to the tasting room for a glass of our passito paired with a dessert of our own production (hazelnut cake or chocolate salami).
Interested in a walk in the vineyard? Let us know when booking!
The vineyard tour is not normally included in the visit: the nearest one is about 1 km from the winery, so the tour time would increase significantly. However, if you are interested in adding this stop, just let us know in advance so we can organize it!
